APPRISS CARES - DEDICATED TO SERVING VICTIMS

Since Appriss was established in 1994, we have worked to build a culture of support and advocacy for victims of crime. Our Appriss Cares program is a thread of support for crime victims that runs through everything we do at Appriss - from our technology services to the time and capital we give back to the victim community. Our activities include:

• Creating and supporting the Mary Byron Project, a public charity named in honor of the young woman whose murder led to the creation of VINE. Over the last eight years, Appriss has contributed nearly $1 million in funding and provided pro bono office space, technical assistance, and other support to the organization.

• In 2008, Appriss served as the local host and sponsor of the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Appriss provided $30,000 in financial support and approximately 500 volunteer hours to planning and organizing the event.

• Each year, we organize or participate in more than a dozen community service and fundraising activities in our own community.
